Styles

Express yourself with 35 unique generative styles that have been carefully crafted. Combine these styles with shapes and colors to create endless possibilities.

Shapes

Discover over a hundred shape variations to customize your designs. Choose from square, triangle, round, number, and letter shapes to enhance your creations.

Colors

Whorl's coloring system allows for a unique application of colors to styles. You can either select your own colors or let Whorl suggest superb color combinations.

Sculpt

Have fun with physical manipulation by changing the volume, twisting, rotating, and glitching. It's as easy as playing with clay.

Pattern

Explore a sphere of geometric patterns using your Whorl image as the source. There are four different pattern types that can be resized and rotated in real-time to create a variety of variations.

Reflect

Create stunning symmetrical designs with Whorl's multi-axis mirror feature. Choose up to four mirror options and adjust the axis lines to reflect your Whorl image.

Photo

Add your own images or photos to your Whorl creations directly within the app. With eight blend modes and options to adjust contrast, brightness, and grayscale levels, you can turn your photos into unique artistic pieces. The Whorl Photo feature allows for even more creativity by overlaying textures, patterns, logos, or anything you desire.

Please note that the Photo overlay and pattern feature is only available on iOS 11 or newer. Devices such as iPhone 5s, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini 3 do not support this feature due to hardware limitations.

High Resolution

By subscribing to Whorl Pro, you gain unlimited access to save high-resolution 4k images of your beautiful Whorl creations. These high-res images are perfect for online sharing, creating projections, and making prints with stunning cut-outs and details.

Record

Capture your Whorl designs in motion by recording and adjusting volume, rotation, and glitch effects. Export your recordings as videos directly from the app. Please note that the Screen Recording feature requires iOS 11 or newer.

Share

Save your Whorl image as a beautifully rendered 1024 x 1024 pixel image for easy online sharing. We regularly share Whorl creations on Instagram, so find us @whorl or tag your own creations with #whorl. We can't wait to see what you create!

Pro

You can try out the app for free with access to a limited number of styles and shapes. To unlock all shapes, styles, colors, remove watermarks, and export high-resolution images, we recommend purchasing Whorl Pro. You have the option to make a one-time purchase for Whorl Pro or subscribe for a limited time. Choosing a yearly subscription will give you a substantial discount.

Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account upon confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of the renewal will be identified. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings after purchase.
